NEW YORK – Staff at Rockstar Games are reportedly facing serious security concerns as their offices now become the target of aggressive intrusion attempts aimed at obtaining confidential information regarding the highly anticipated title, Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6).
The revelation comes via a report from industry source Kiwi Talkz, based on an interview with a Rockstar Games employee. The report details how unauthorized parties are resorting to increasingly bold measures to steal internal company data.
According to the source, two primary tactics have been detected so far. The first involves drones being flown near office windows to record employee computer screens from outside the building.
Furthermore, the physical security of the premises has been tested, with reports of individuals attempting to breach the office by using fake employee badges to bypass security checkpoints.
Following these alarming incidents, rumors have surfaced suggesting that Rockstar management may be considering a fully digital launch strategy for the time being. This drastic measure is reportedly being weighed to prevent the risk of early leaks, which often occur when physical discs are distributed to retail stores ahead of the official release date.
Such aggressive actions are not only viewed as a severe violation of employee privacy but also raise concerns that they could disrupt the smooth progress of the game’s development, potentially impacting the completion timeline of GTA 6.
